If every small inconvenience makes you want to run, then trust me: you’re not safe anywhere.

A couple of days ago there was an Israeli attack in Qatar. Panic spread quickly; people asked, “What’s next for Qatar?” and the news only made the fear louder. Israel’s threats felt constant, and for a moment I found myself thinking about the ordinary things—school, work, birthdays, upcoming events—because if I let those threats dictate my life I wouldn’t be living, I’d be existing in fear.
That made me ask: is any place truly safe? No — there will always be something, somewhere. But will I keep running every time life becomes inconvenient? No. I choose to believe in a living God, and I trust in a nation that seeks peace, not war.
Where can I run? And if I run, where can I hide? My answer: I will stand.
