"Basically, I have been compelled by curiosity."

This phrase sums up a lot of what led me into coaching—and what keeps me here.

It wasn’t a master plan. It wasn’t a straight line. It was curiosity. About people. About what drives us, what holds us back, and how real change happens. I found myself asking questions that didn’t always have easy answers—and instead of shying away, I leaned in.

Curiosity, I’ve learned, is one of the most powerful tools a coach can have. It allows us to sit with uncertainty, to challenge assumptions, and to create space where insight can emerge. It’s not about having the answers. It’s about being deeply present with the questions.

Sometimes curiosity takes you down unexpected paths. In coaching, that’s not a detour—it’s the work.

So when someone asks me how I got here, or why I do this work, I might just say:

“Basically, I’ve been compelled by curiosity.” & maybe a little bit of persistence!
